Abu Dhabi International Airport The emirate of Abu Dhabi is constructing a new midfield terminal complex that will include a 50-gate terminal facility, parking structure and new terminal approach roadways at the existing Abu Dhabi International airport. The new airport facilities will serve as a hub for Etihad Airways and other international airlines.
We were awarded a contract by KPF International to design and document a wayfinding sign system for the terminal, garages and the approach roadways. We worked directly with the team's architects and engineers in London that comprise the design team and made presentations of design options directly to the client along with our co-consultants. We coordinated our graphic design with the engineering firm responsible for the new garage as well as the civil engineers designing the roadway configuration to assure proper layout and location of the roadway directional signage.
